From a part time home business to a Million Pound franchise

You have before you the opportunity, privilege and security of entering a proven, established, unique and highly profitable home based franchise. 

 

You can avoid making the mistakes we made in our formative years. But it won't happen FOR you. YOU must MAKE it happen. You must be sure you ENJOY it. Otherwise there is no point DOING it. 

* You must ENJOY working the business.

We have a proven formula which requires you to be DOING a number of tasks. It is important you familiarise yourself with these tasks. Consider whether you will enjoy doing what is required to succeed in this business (see later in this report). 

After the question, "Will it work?" comes the even more important question, "Will I enjoy the work?" You must satisfy yourself on both points before entering this or ANY business. 

Q: Can I DO the job? Or does it need an Einstein to learn the ropes?

A: Can you answer 'YES' to the following?

1) Would you be able to place advertisements in Yellow Pages and Thomsons? Simple enough. 

2) Would you be able to find your way around your local streets, going round houses delivering SelClene approved 'GIRL' marketing leaflets? You need to be physically fit for this and like walking!

3) Could you place adverts for workers? The Call Centre will handle all incoming telephone calls from your workers and book in suitable ones for you to interview. Would you be able to Interview workers, vet them and take up their references?

4) Can you go out and meet clients and explain how the agency works and register them with the agency (full training given - all appointments booked for you by the Call Centre)? People skills are useful for this. 

If you answered 'Yes' to all the above, you can do it! If you're still unsure, I will tell you all you need to know in the Manuals, including exactly what to say to cleaners and clients. 

Our 'GIRL' marketing cards create a consistent response. Once established you'll also get enquiries from your Directory Advertising and from client referrals. Your average fee per client is £460 per annum (most 'quality' regions - poorer areas would be £420). 

Once you have acquired the clients, our central Call Centre will take the incoming calls for you, allocate cleaners to the clients and service them in return for a fee per client payable monthly. 

All you need to do is focus on generating the client and cleaner enquiries - the Call Centre then matches them to each other on a centralised database. The client fees are paid direct to you.

Q: Why should I pay good money to join a franchise when I could just go out and set up my own business and keep all the profit for myself? 

A: Official statistics indicate only 4% of new business start-ups are still trading ten years later, compared with an 80% success rate in a franchised business. 

You join a franchise to get GUARANTEED RESULTS. What point is having 100% of profits if there are none? Without the support of a franchisor, you stand a 96% risk of failure within ten years. WITH the support of SelClene, you are buying into a guaranteed business. THAT is what you are paying for.

£108,709.30 including personal drawings on turnover of £265k in the 1997/98 year £124,635.89 on turnover of £278,310 in the 1998/99 financial year and 
£165,658.34 on a turnover of £381,462 in the 1999/2000 fin yr ended 31/03/2000.
£240,000.00 on a turnover of £560,000 in the 2000/2001 fin yr ended 31/03/2001.

Q: How can you guarantee ME similar success? 

A: Understand the purpose and function of a genuine business. 

Management guru Peter Drucker, in 'The Practice of Management', wrote: 

* A business, "can only justify its existence and its authority by the economic results it produces." 

The primary function of a business is to make profits. 

Profit is what defines a genuine business. Without profit, no business can survive. This is why 96% of start-ups will not be around in ten years time, yet 80% of franchised businesses WILL be. 

There is only ONE way to succeed in business. That is not (necessarily) to work hard - but to work SMART. Learn how to identify profitable businesses. 

Get in on the right business. Preferably something you enjoy and are good at but above all, something where you are rewarded ten and twenty fold on your efforts.

SelClene - What will you be doing?

There are six primary functions or 'jobs' in this business. Three of these are 'internal' - office based. Three are 'external' - involving going out of the office. You will be handling the external tasks in your area and the Call Centre will handle the internal tasks. 

Internal Tasks: (The Call Centre handles these:) 

1) Client Desk - dealing with clients on the phone and client administration.

2) Worker Desk - dealing with workers on the phone and worker administration.

3) Worker Recruiter Desk - dealing with prospective workers.

External Tasks: (The franchisee (you) handle these:)

1) Distributor - delivers 'GIRL' marketing material

2) Appointment'er - signs up clients

We have set up a fully staffed 'Call Centre' and offer a full call-handling and internal administration service to new incoming franchisees so you can focus on business development. This means your calls are handled for you while you are out of the office, with all the administration done for you. 

* You will initially be trained in our Head Office. We recommend a week's training in our systems and procedures here at Craig Y Nos Castle (accommodation available). 
* After your first week's training, we offer periodic courses to supplement your knowledge and to instruct you in system upgrades as and when introduced.
* Under our supervision you will devise a Business Plan with targets for your business. 
* Teaching manuals and monthly newsletters will be supplied to you each month. You WILL be expected to do a lot of reading and will be given a number of written tests.
* Biannual Regional Meetings will enable you to gain further ongoing training and to meet your fellow franchisees. LOTS of excellent brainstorming ideas stem from these franchisee meetings.
